Flames plain road kill
CALGARY - The autopsy will begin in earnest in the next few days, but it won't take somebody like Quincy M.E. to figure out what killed the Calgary Flames this season. They died a slow death on the road. "Our play on the road speaks volumes," defenceman Rhett Warrener said after Sunday's 2-1 overtime loss at home to Detroit, sending the Flames packing after six games in their Western Conference quarter-final series against the Red Wings. "When you lose (Game 5) 5-1 and your goalie is still a star ... something's not right. You guys do the math. We're open to being dissected now. It's not up to me to say what the problem is, but I think it's fairly obvious." The Flames lost all three series games in Detroit, following their dreadful pattern all year when they lost a whopping 31 times on the road.

Gaming: Which is the best system for you? The online experience
The Xbox Live network, which was established in the days of the original Xbox, is a thriving online community where players can establish an online identity (gamer tag), send and receive text, voice and video messages with people on their Friends lists, view online leaderboards and, with a $60 subscription to the Gold network, can also play games online against friends or strangers. You can count on all Xbox 360 games to have some kind of online component, whether it's online leaderboards or multiplayer modes (co-op or vs.). So far, the 360 has proven to be the king of micro-transactions. The Xbox Live Marketplace offers a range of downloadable content, some free and some for purchase. 'Super Paper' miraculously resurrects the legend of Mario
A one-time carpenter, he is now, in Super Paper Mario, a prophesized savior who must rescue the universe from apocalypse. Merely 5-foot-1, Mario seeks to stop a devilish figure of nobility, the blue-faced Count Bleck, who wishes to spin his evil powers and cram all existence into a rip in the fabric of space, and kill us all. Our savior's journey is demanding. For starters, Mario is only two-dimensional this time, merely an animated piece of paper running left to right, navigating secret tunnels and mazes of 2-D towns and deserts. How can a paper man save the universe? Standing in between Mario and the count are piranha plants and other deceptively dangerous creatures. Mushrooms walk and bear down upon Mario with furrowed brows and sharp fangs. Their mere touch is a poison.
Stephen Lendman Reviews John Ross' Zapatistas
"The Zapatistas are Mayans and the Mayans are the People of Maize, not just because it is the center of their universe but because they are actually made from it. And like the maize....the people the color of the earth return, renew themselves, are reborn and flourish." .
