Atari has sent word that a new "Lexus Car Pack" is available for free download on Xbox Live Marketplace for Test Drive Unlimited. Atari has released the Lexus GS 450h hybrid-powered luxury sport sedan and Lexus LS 460 premium luxury sedan on Xbox Live Marketplace as a free download as a part of their new relationship with Lexus. Nique Fajors, VP, Sales & Marketing, Atari says, “Lexus automobiles are among the finest vehicles on the market today and a perfect fit for Test Drive Unlimited, one of the hottest racing games in recent times. Atari is dedicated to providing consumers with a top-notch automotive experience and this free, downloadable Lexus Car Pack for Test Drive Unlimited is another illustration of that commitment." Test Drive Unlimited is a massively open online racing game, which has been released on the PS2, PSP, Xbox 360 and the PC platforms.
Wii Launched Full Version Of Opera Web Browser
Opera Software and Nintendo have finally launched the full version of the Opera web browser for the Internet Channel of the Wii game console. The download is free, but not for long. This web browser allows Wii owners to browse the internet through the console on their television, provided the console is connected to the internet, of course. Some new features of the full version of the Opera browser revolve around usability with zoom and scrolling functions that were not present in the trial version that was launched in December. The application allows you to choose from Google or Yahoo for a default search engine, but like any browser you can navigate to any web page and search engine. Navigation is handled through the Wii remote (please be careful), and two remotes can be used at the same time to point and navigate the web.

Net battles for navy recruits
AN innovative online marketing campaign by the Royal Australian Navy using Microsoft's Messenger service has lured enough recruits to fill two battleships. The campaign has also cut the cost of acquisition of each recruit from more than $300 to less than $10.
The campaign, masterminded by Ian Lumsden on his return from a rotation in Iraq, used an online version of the popular children's game Battleships to target the navy's key recruitment demographic. Along the way it has managed to fill 15 per cent of the navy's annual recruitment target. The battleship campaign grew out of a decision to use banner ads on MSN Messenger against the advice of the Australian Defence Force's media agency Universal McCann. "I wanted to trial Messenger because it just seemed to me that a lot of young people were using that as a communications tool," Lieutenant-Commander Lumsden said.

Welcome back for another baseball marathon. It's always fun in fantasy this time of year to open up box scores and try to make sense of the hot and slow starts coming from unexpected sources. Personally, I'm on the hook for Nick Markakis, Howie Kendrick and Mark Teahen this year, so the nightly numbers bring added intrigue as I track how these players are doing – basically, I hyped these guys ad naseum throughout the spring, so my rep suffers if their batting average, and such, suffers.
