| Super Street Fighter II Turbo and Super Puzzle Fighter II Coming ...
Releasing an updated but not ruined version of a classic game is tough, sand I'm excited to see what Capcom has planned for its upcoming Xbox Live and Playstation Network releases of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. HD means 1080p as well as updated artwork and graphics. UDON comics, the gifted folks behind the Street Fighter comic series, are handling all the updated art, and it looks like the games are in good hands. But almost every change is optional, so feel free to run the original graphics or the original version of Puzzle Fighter II. Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix includes all 17 of the original SSFII Turbo characters, and will include single-player as well as local or online one-on-one action. In addition, it'll feature in-game voice chat, matchmaking "flexibility through multiple options," and worldwide leaderboards.
Sporting a new style for women
FETHIYE, Turkey - Soccer in Turkey is very popular but differs from the rest of Europe in that it is still largely a men's game. In fact, in Europe only Turkey and Albania lack professional women's soccer leagues. There are female fans but there are very few female players. Turkish women did begin to play the game, but in 2003 the Turkish Women's Professional Football League folded amid much derision from men and bogus medical reports suggesting the "beautiful game" was detrimental to the female body. The official reasons for closing the league were just as unconvincing as the medical reports. Turkish Football Federation planning and development coordinator Ahmet Guvener claimed it was because women's soccer was not properly or professionally managed, but popular belief is that the real reason for closure was "undesirable" romantic activity between players and trainers.
Bettelheim and the Importance of Play
In his landmark work "The Importance of Play" Bruno Bettelheim lays out a penetrating study that attempts to describe the psychological importance that play has upon the development of the mind of young children. Bettelheim proceeds from the perspective of classic Freudian psychology with the suggestion that play is a method by which children are able to foster mature development by addressing issues of past psychological problems. Even the most seemingly mindless of playful activities therefore works as a royal road into their minds in which they can confront unconscious fears through their consciousness, not unlike an adult may do through role-playing in a psychologist's office. According to Bettelheim, then, play is very much an intellectual activity. It is through playacting and imagination and role-playing that children can develop cognitive functions that may very well be applied specifically in adult versions of the very games they play.

How To Recycle Your Old Gadgets
Gadgest are usually recycled as landfill occupation blocks, but it doesn't have to be that way. Earth 911, an environmental organization, has a website and a toll-free recycling hotline at 1-800-CLEANUP, each providing info on how to dispatch your old gadgets to the developing world, or at least to local recycling agencies that will know how best to make use of them. In addition to computers, phones and batteries, recyclable e-waste typically includes "printers, fax machines, scanners, copy machines, televisions, radios, microwave ovens, stereo system components, camcorders, digital cameras, telephones, hair dryers, electric typewriters, and video game consoles." WoW forums: Clarifications for arena season's end
Given that all eyes have been on the upcoming April 15 deadline for qualifiers for World of Warcraft's Arena tournaments, one question that's popped up is on the matter of the season's end. This was posed by WoW forum member Killsfercake, given that there had not been any official word from Blizzard. Spokesman Drysc answered with this reply: We have not announced or eluded to a date when the arena season will end. There's no current date set. The end of season is dependent on quite a few factors, including PvE progression. We will give around a one month notice before it ends though. That's the official word from Blizzard. We advice the readers to just take the current season in stride, and see who the Arena's top teams are for the moment.
