Winter Wolves Games has just released their first puzzle game Spin Around as freeware. The game, once sold at fullprice, is now available as free download with no adware or spyware. It features simple but addictive gameplay, online scores and three playing modes: Time Attack, Top Score and Puzzle Game. In the first mode you must clean the grid in the shortest time possible. In the second instead you must try to make the highest score possible. On the third and last playing mode, you must solve several puzzles of increasing difficulty. .
Violent Video Games Are Mass-Murder Simulators

I'd like to talk to you about violent crime and the causations of violent crime. And what I want you to realize is, we have to think of violence like we would think of heart disease. It really is a soul-disease, if you will. And many things cause heart disease. There's obesity, overweightdoes that cause heart disease? Yes. Does a high-cholesterol diet, or stress, or lack of exercise, or geneticsdo all those things cause heart disease? Yes, we know they do.
Being best isn't good enough
EAST RUTHERFORD -- Practice was winding down, and Jason Kidd was learning how to shoot a basketball from someone named Bob Thate. The knees, the elbow, the release. The faceless aide was giving all these biddy-ball lessons to one of the greatest point guards of all time, and Kidd was hanging on his every word. He wants to shoot better, he really does. At 34, Kidd wants to conquer his game's final frontier. He wants to finally evolve into an honest-to-God, can't-leave-him-for-a-second perimeter threat. He knows how much a jump shot can extend a career. He knows the Raptors wouldn't see Game 5 of this first-round series if he could locate the middle of the rim as easily as he finds a trailer on the fast break. But he also knows this about the after-school work with the Nets' shooting coach, about the possibility of finding a Steve Nash stroke before retirement: none of it is mandatory.
Optimist tournament spotlights kids
For 39 years, the Cave Spring Optimist Club has sponsored a fishing tournament on Smith Mountain Lake to raise money for its many youth activities. Kids who never fish benefit from fishing. But the tournament also offers a fishing opportunity for youngsters through a youth tournament that I am proud to say bears my name. The event is sponsored by Atlas Cold Storage. It works this way: From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, youngsters age 12 and younger are invited to go fishing and to weigh their catch at Foxport Marina. The next day, contestants who have registered the largest fish in two categories will receive U.S. Saving Bonds. The two categories are carp and sunfish (bluegill). First place in each category is worth a $100 bond; second, a $75 bond and third, a $50 bond.
YWCA Women of Achievement are recognized at annual event
